WLCA a professional association proudly representing, educating and dedicated to the Wisconsin green industry since 1970!
WLCA Healthy Turf. Healthy Kids.
WLCA through its members donates labor and equipment to renovate sports fields to give back to the community.
History
WLCA has began renovating sports fields in 2009 and to date we have renovated over 600 ball fields across the state. Currently we renovate 100 ball fields each year.
Why is Healthy Turf Important
-
Aeration and fertilization improve the health of the turf.
-
Aeration reduces compaction of the soil and improves cushioning.
-
Fertilization creates a thick lush turf.
-
Healthy turf can help reduce injuries.
Fields We Do
The fields we do typically don't get the needed attention due to budget contrainsts, yet they are fields that are used.
